NEW ORLEANS — A story nearly six months in the making, since April, people who live in Mid-City and beyond have been searching for a small pup who was on the run. Good news came when Scrim was finally captured on Wednesday.
Scrim was adopted from Zeus' Rescues but soon after he escaped from his new home. Since then, crews have been out at night with net-guns, and veterinarians with tranquilizer darts, trying to catch him.
Social media was inundated with "Scrim-sightings". He was taken in on Wednesday morning and was checked out at Metairie Small Animal Hospital.
He has two bullets in him that appear to be from a pellet gun, plus some abrasions and a piece of his ear missing.
Otherwise, Scrim is healthy after getting a bath and his matted fur shaved.
People have already stepped up to adopt him.
