CLEVELAND — Three local animal-welfare groups have joined forces to provide assistance to pet owners who are struggling to feed and keep their dogs and cats during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Neighborhood Pets Outreach/Resource Center at 3711 E. 65 in Cleveland has programs available to Cleveland residents who receive government assistance or have regular income below the national poverty level.
Their programs include pet food assistance, low cost vaccinations, free spay/neuter program, flea and parasite treatment and pet supplies.
Emergency services are available as funds permit.
The pet food pantry is available for curbside, contact free pick-up Wednesdays from noon until 3 p.m. Delivery is available to shut-ins.
Friends of the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter offer services to pet owners in need that live in Cuyahoga County but OUTSIDE of Cleveland.
Friends of the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter will also provide pet food to pet owners who are in a financial bind due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The county shelter is also asking for donations purchased online or monetary donations to be sent to The Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter, 9500 Sweet Valley Drive, Valley View, Ohio 44125.
The Cleveland Animal Protective League at 1729 Willey Avenue in Cleveland is also offering pet food assistance to Cleveland pet owners by providing curbside and contract-free delivery to pet owners in need.
The Cleveland APL is asking for donations as well to be shipped to them from their wish list on Amazon.
