CLEVELAND — There’s an urgent need for pet adoptions in Northeast Ohio as City Dogs Cleveland says their kennel is “very full.”
“We are totally out of space,” the kennel posted on Facebook Tuesday. “We had some great adoptions over the weekend, but we need to be real: This is just the beginning of what will surely be a long, busy summer.”
City Dogs Cleveland says they’ve had 37 dogs arrive in the past three days.
“That’s 37 cages that the overextended kennel doesn’t have,” according to their Facebook post. “This means a high stress environment for all of the dogs.”
The kennel is asking for your help in one of the following ways…
ADOPT
You can view all of their adoptable dogs HERE and set up a time for a meet-and-greet.
“We have 120+ dogs looking for homes,” the kennel said. “The $61 adoption fee includes a microchip, county license, basic vaccinations and spay/neuter.”
RECLAIM
“We know that many of these dogs had families and we would love to find them,” the kennel said.
All dogs that have been found as strays can be viewed HERE.
Please call 216-664-3069 if you see a match for a missing pet.
FOSTER
Many organizations are seeking fosters so they can pull dogs from the overcrowded kennel. Here’s MORE.
DONATE
If you can’t adopt, a donation is always appreciated.
“We are flying through the funds, especially with medical expenses, given the high population of dogs at the kennel,” City Dogs Cleveland continued. “We also accept donations of laundry detergent, blankets, towels, treats and long-lasting chews.”
