NOVELTY, Ohio — A unique slumber party is happening right now in Geauga County, with the goal being to help homeless animals.
The "Spring Fling Slumber Party" is a fundraiser to benefit animals at Rescue Village looking to find their forever homes. People are cozying up overnight for 12 hours with a shelter animal -- in their kennel -- as the charity attempts to raise $1,000.
"This past year, RV provided compassionate care to more than 2,300 animals waiting to find their forever home," Rescue Village wrote, adding that this is the first year for the party. "This event will bring in much needed revenue to help RV continue our life-saving work and will help some of our animals find their forever homes."
