Humane Society of Summit County waiving adoption fees based on LeBron James' playoff performance

For every assist that James makes during the playoffs, ASPCA Pet Health Insurance is covering another adoption at the Humane Society of Summit County (up to 40).

TWINSBURG, Ohio — In honor of LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers reaching the NBA Conference Finals, ASPCA Pet Health Insurance and the Humane Society of Summit County are teaming up to promote adoption for dogs in need of a home.

Organizers say that the Humane Society of Summit County is naming three dogs after James – “Lebron,” “Chosen One” and “James,” who will all have their adoption fees waived as well.

Additionally, for every assist that James makes during the playoffs, ASPCA Pet Health Insurance is covering another adoption at the Humane Society of Summit County (up to 40). 

Despite the Los Angeles Lakers losing 132-126 to the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night, James' nine assists helped to cover the adoption fees for nine more dogs.
