CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Record Revolution on Coventry Road has been a staple to the Northeast Ohio music community for years.
After 55 years of business, Record Revolution has announced that it will be closing its doors at the end of 2022.
The announcement came on Friday, Nov. 25, on Record Revolution's Facebook page.
"Today I come to Facebook with a heavy heart. After much calculation, consideration, & deliberation we have decided to close the doors on our long standing beloved brick & mortar store- Record Revolution.
This decision did not come easily. We have enjoyed being a member of the Coventry community with it's spirit of entrepreneurship, diversity, & encouragement of free thought and expression, for 55 years."
The store noted that beginning on Monday, Nov. 28, they will be operating under a reduced-hours schedule.
If you want to visit the store in Coventry Village or say a final goodbye, they will be open during the following hours:
- Monday-Saturday: 12-7 p.m.
- Sunday: 12-5 p.m.
The reduced hours will be effective until the store closes on New Year's Eve, Saturday, Dec. 31.
The store encourages shoppers to come in and visit over the next month, " So, post pictures, come into the shop & say hello or goodbye, give a hug, handshake, or a wave & know that you've been part of something truly special & that you will be missed. Goodbye for now & have a wonderful holiday season," said Record Revolution in a statement on Facebook.
