CLEVELAND — Every summer, 3News Style Contributor and The Wardrobe Consultant Hallie Abrams' clients come to her with questions on how to find the right look for Fourth of July events.
"Fourth of July happens every year, but still, it causes angst for people when they're like, 'Well, what should I wear?' because typically it's going to be something that's outside," Abrams says. "Typically, it's something that's going to be more casual, but yet, it's a party and it's finished, so it's not just your normal gardening outside clothes."
The other big concern? The theme.
"It is a color theme [red, white, and blue] that you want to acknowledge, but maybe not necessarily go full throttle," she explains. "I think that for most themes, there's usually an attainable way to approach a theme by acknowledging it and giving a tip of the hat. So, whether it's color, whether it's stars, whether it's summertime fabrics, linen, that's a way to do it without feeling like you're all the way there."
So to help inspire some spot-on style, Hallie enlisted three local boutiques — Winds of Change in both Chagrin Falls and Hudson, Kilgore Trout in Woodmere, and Eleanor and Hobbs in Rocky River — to put together their ideal looks for the holiday.
