CLEVELAND — Floral prints have been everywhere in 2019. Some are loud, some are tropical, some are a little more muted. The look isn’t going away as we transition to fall, but the palette should! Whether it’s reworking something already in your closet, or knowing what to look for on the rack, we want you to love it!
WKYC's Sara Shookman met up with The Style Foundry founder Megan Moran to look at three ways to wear floral as the temperatures cool. She says the secret is stay dark!

Megan styled three different, darker floral tops for us – for a night out, your work wardrobe, or just about anything you do! She says tops are the best place to start to try the trend, and add that feminine touch to your look. But floral prints are on skirts, shoes, just about anything these days! So, take this as inspiration, and be bold.
DARK FLORALS FOR DATE NIGHT
Date night is about the details, and that’s why Megan chose this top for Caroline. “The cute little tie here, it’s more casual and flirty,” said Megan, making it perfect for a night out. She paired it with darker jeans on the bottom, and layered on a lighter wash jean jacket on top, for cool fall evenings. The statement earrings add another element of fun flair.

DARK FLORALS FOR WORK
Most work environments require something a little more conservative. Megan chose this top for Jen, as it's trendy and still very office-appropriate. Megan paired it with a polished necklace and simple black ankle pants. And some color on the bottom! These block heel pumps are comfortable and on trend. While this saffron or mustard yellow is everywhere at the moment, the key to choosing an accent color is pretty simple. She says, “Take that pop of color from the print you’re wearing.” With florals, that leaves so many options!

DARK FLORALS FOR ANYTIME
You can find these floral patterns on all sorts of items at the moment. To keep it casual, think about material. Megan selected a cotton tee shirt for Kierra’s anytime look. She paired it with a utility jacket, another great layering option. This one pulls that accent yellow again and makes a statement itself! While that color is popular, it can be hard to pull off as well as Kierra does it. “It depends on your skin tone, so if you’re really fair, the yellow color might wash you out a bit. Try something else, like an olive or burgundy,” said Megan.
