Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele star in the comedy, Keanu as two friends who pose as dangerous killers slash drug dealers to try and get back a stolen cat. I'm sure you've seen all the posters, trailers, and social media blasts with all the cute kittens and you may be thinking "How cute does this movie look?!" You need to know that this is an "R" rated comedy. It's very funny and the kittens are very cute but they aren't the stars. I had high expectation for this movie and I was a little let down. Don't get me wrong, it's still very funny. I think my problem is that I know Key & Peele from their comedy sketch TV show and I was expecting 2 hours of that. I didn't get what I expected but like I said, I still got a very funny movie that I recommend if you're looking to catch a funny movie. By the way, the film that inspired this movie was the action movie John Wick that starred Keanu Reeves as a former hit man whose dog was killed during a home invasion which pushed him over the edge to track down and murder everyone who had anything to do with it.

A punk band goes up against a group of maniacal skinheads in Green Room. Green Room stars Anton Yelchin as the guitar player for the "The Ain't Rights" a punk band finishing up a long and unsuccessful tour. They're about to call it quits when they book a last minute gig at an isolated club. When the band witnesses a murder backstage, things escalate into a game of cat and mouse as the club's owner and leader of the skinhead group that frequents it are willing to do anything to protect the secrets of his group. It’s a tight thriller that will leave you on the edge of your seat with characters that are believable and well-developed no matter how much screen time they get. Particularly fun to watch are Anton Yelchin whose character goes from easy going to survival at all costs throughout the film and Patrick Stewart who plays the club owner and leader of the skinhead group. Everything he does had a purpose and he's methodical in every action he takes.

Also out, Mother's Day is the latest star-studded ensemble comedy from the director of Pretty Woman who also directed the day centered film Valentine's Day and New Year's Eve. This one stars Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson, and Julia Roberts and centers on Mother's Day, which is a week from Sunday for those who have mothers so don't forget. Lastly, the animated Ratchet and Clank tells the story of two unlikely heroes as they struggle to stop a vile alien from every planet in the galaxy...and with plenty of action and comedy, it's likely the perfect movie for the kiddos.
