Customers with Bank of America reporting system outages and $0 balances

Some customers took to social media saying they were unable to sign in and others reported they were able to log on but were startled to see their balances at $0.
Bank of America is the second largest bank in the country, the company set a goal to increase wages to $25 per hour by the end of 2025.

DALLAS — Bank of America customers reported problems accessing their accounts Wednesday.

Reports of outages at Bank of America began around 11 a.m., according to Downdector, which tracks problems at websites and other companies.

Some customers took to social media saying they were unable to sign in, others reported they were able to log on but were startled to see their balances at $0, and many others reported seeing "accounts temporarily available" on the bank's app.

"ALL of our accounts show a $0 balance," one user wrote on the company's X help account

"What in the world is going on with BOA. Can't get a hold of a rep since 8 in the morning," another customer wrote on X.

Bank of America said the widespread outage has "largely been resolved" in a statement to WFAA:

"Some clients are experiencing an issue accessing their accounts and balance information today. These issues are being addressed and have largely been resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience."

It's still unclear what caused the outage.

This is a developing story WFAA will update this story once more information becomes available.
