WARREN, Ohio — Tuesday saw the opening of two new Meijer Supercenters in Warren and Wooster.
The Warren store, located 2120 Niles Cortland Road SE, and Wooster store, located at 4845 Burbank Road, opened their 159,000-square-foot locations Tuesday morning giving residents yet another convenient shopping option
“Meijer is a family company committed to bringing value and convenience to local families while also serving as a strong community partner,” Executive Chairman Hank Meijer said. “We are honored by the warm welcome in Ohio today and look forward to truly becoming part of the Warren and Wooster communities in the years to come.”
Meijer included a brief description of what the store has to offer for nearby residents not familiar with the brand:
"The stores’ state-of-the art retail experience will feature multiple ways to shop, including Shop & Scan, Home Delivery and Pickup and mPerks rewards to help customers earn on every dollar spent.
Known for fresh produce, extensive grocery selection and everyday needs, the new Meijer stores will also offer pharmacies and general merchandise items including expansive baby and pet departments, apparel, beauty care, garden"

Along with the opening of both stores, Meijer also announced a large investment into both communities totaling $25,000:
- $15,000 to Inspiring Minds Warren - Supports free after school and summer programming for underrepresented youth.
- $5,000 to Trumbull Mobile Meals - Provides meals to those in need
- $5,000 to Warren Family Mission - Supports community with meals and monthly supplemental food bags
- $15,000 to OHuddle - Supports positive adult mentorships for children
