AVON LAKE -- Some Ford workers will not be called back to the Ohio Assembly Plant following this summer's scheduled shutdown, according to Mayor Greg Zilka.
Zilka said he learned the news today from a family member of a Ford worker and called Ford offices in Detroit to confirm.
Zilka said Ford would not give him details about how many people would be laid off. He said he was told the shutdown is planned for June but could come as late as August.
