WILLOUGHBY, Ohio — Candy Cloud Company is officially open in Lake County. The specialty drink franchise, which was founded in Illinois, is the first of its kind in Ohio.
The Willoughby location, the third storefront in the United States, is owned and operated by husband and wife duo Rick and Clarissa Standing. They told 3News reporter Kierra Cotton that they were happy to have a line down the street for their grand opening on Friday, March 8.
Candy Cloud offers a variety of coffees, teas, lemonades and shakes that customers can customize to their liking. The unique feature of each drink is that they are canned-to-order and the ingredients, like their Boba, are made fresh.
Each month, the drink shop curates a collection of themed drinks. March's specials Mint Cookies n' Cream Shake, Matcha Marshmallow Charm Ube, and a Baklava Shaken Espresso.
Originally from New York and Brazil, respectively, the Standings have settled in Northeast Ohio and are building a life together with their five children. They say they look forward to making an impact on the community and hope their store will serve as a safe and positive hangout for people of all ages.
Candy Cloud is open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Willoughby storefront is located at 36299 Euclid Avenue.
