COLUMBUS, Ohio — Wawa shared more details about its plans to expand into the Midwest and open stores in Ohio.
In December 2022, the popular convenience store chain announced it was launching stores in the Buckeye State, Indiana and Kentucky.
Wawa said it has 16 sites under contract across the following counties:
- Butler
- Clermont
- Clinton
- Greene
- Hamilton
- Miami
- Montgomery
- Warren
The chain will announce specific locations and estimated opening times once the permitting and approval process is complete.
“We were thrilled to share our ‘flight plan’ for Ohio and reveal, for the very first time, our exciting expansion plans, renderings and more with our newest soon-to-be neighbors!” said Joe Collins, the director of store operations for Wawa.
Wawa stores are located in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Florida and Washington, D.C. with nearly 1,000 locations to date.
