From shavers to cell phones. When competition heats up, prices go down. And consumers are getting great deals these days. But one major company is accused of some steals.
A few segments back I was talking to Jimmy about men's grooming products. He said he loved that dollar shave thing which he utilized in a one-year subscription.
Well as you know blades are expensive. And you can't interchange them with different shavers. Until now.
Schick is not only selling its own blades by mail; it's selling blades that fit on Gillette's handles... and cost less.
The Schick Hydro plans offer automatic refills, depending on how often you shave.
Along with refills, customers can get Hydro Connect blades that work with Gillette's Mach 3 or Fusion razors, with refills costing about 1/3 to 47% less.
Just so you know Consumer Reports didn't give such great marks for the Dollar Shave products even though they were the cheapest. Their favorite was the Gillette Fusion Pro Shield.
