CLEVELAND — Did you check your Mega Millions lottery tickets?
Despite the winning $1.28 billion Mega Millions jackpot ticket being sold in Illinois, many Ohioans took home cash prizes from the drawing.
From last night's drawing, Ohio Lottery players took home over $2.6 million in total prizes. Eleven players won $10,000 (Match 4+1), the highest prize taken home in the state.

The winning numbers for the $1.28 billion prize were 13-36-45-57-67, Mega Ball 14 and Megaplier 2. Officials confirmed that the winning ticket was sold in Illinois, marking the first Mega Millions winner since April 15.
“This has been a thrilling ride for retailers and our players,” says Ohio Lottery Director Pat McDonald, who also serves as the Lead Director for the Mega Millions Consortium. “We have witnessed one of the biggest jackpot runs in Mega Millions history. This jackpot has been a boost for our retailers, players and our contribution to education.”
Across Ohio, nearly 5.9 million tickets were bought leading up to last night's historic drawing.
Earlier this week, two Ohioans woke up as millionaires, including one from Northeast Ohio, after Tuesday's drawing.
