WOOSTER, Ohio — A locally-owned grocery store chain has issued a recall for more than 4,000 pounds of its meat products after "foreign materials" were found in one of the ingredients.
Wooster-based Buehler's Fresh Foods, is urging customers to either throw out or return their homemade meatloaf, homemade ham loaf, and Italian style stuffed meatballs with marinara sauce. While there have been no confirmed reports of negative health reactions at this time, the company says the materials have a potential to be hazardous.
The recalled meatloaf was sold between Aug. 29 and Dec. 26, the ham loaf between Sept. 11 and Dec. 26, and the meatballs from Oct. 9 through Dec. 26. The meat was shipped to and purchased at the following Buehler's locations:
- Akron
- Ashland
- Canton
- Coshocton
- Dover
- Massillon
- Medina (Forest Meadows Drive)
- Medina (Medina Road)
- New Philadelphia
- Orrville
- Wadsworth
- Wooster (Burbank Road)
- Wooster (North Market Street)
