2 dead, 1 hurt in Maple Heights shooting; victims identified

MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio — Two men were found dead and one man was injured early Saturday morning, Maple Heights Police said in a news release.

Officers first responded to a call for a man calling for help outside a home near Brunswick Ave. They found a man with several gun shots wounds.

While tending to the injured man, they received a second call reporting shots fired in the area of 14400 Brunswick Ave. Additional officers responded to the area and found an open door at a home with what appeared to be blood at the door, the news release said.

There, officers say they found two men inside, who had been fatally shot. They have been identified as 35-year-old Willie G. Ivy II, of Chicago, and 29-year-old Julius Moore, of Cleveland.

The injured man found at the first location was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
