Three people were rescued from a car in Ashland County Saturday as it was being swept away by high flood waters.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the vehicle got caught in the water on Wilderness Road in Jeromesville just off of South Funk Road around 9:10 a.m. Crews were called to the area, and all passengers (including a 3-year-old girl) were safely removed just over a half hour later. They were apparently on top of the car when help arrived.
The driver has been cited for failure to control. Crews were working "cautiously" to remove the car from the water.
