ASHLAND, Ohio — Four teens are in custody following a shooting that left one man dead Monday night.
It happened just before midnight at the Almond Tree Inn on Cleveland Avenue.
When first responders arrived, they found a 28-year-old woman and 26-year-old man both suffering from gunshot wounds. Police say both victims were residents at different units.
The woman was taken to University Hospitals Samaritan Hospitals in an unknown condition. The man, who had not been publicly identified, died at the scene.
Four suspects were later identified and taken into custody. Police say the suspects are a 19-year-old man, two 17-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy. A pistol was found inside the home of one of the suspects.
Charges have not been filed, as the Ashland County Prosecutor's Office is still reviewing the case.
