CLEVELAND — Families with children who usually spend their days in the hospital because of critical illness took in Sunday's Cleveland Indians game against the Seattle Mariners.
The social service organization "A Kid Again" made it all possible, providing what they called a "Cleveland Indians adventure," which included a pre-game cookout.
These families spend so much time in the hospitals, including siblings who are healthy. We're just designed to give the whole family a break from illness, in fact we call it 'giving illness a giant time-out' so they can go do an adventure and be a family for a day," says "A Kid Again" Executive Director Christine Bucknell.
The cost of Sunday's festivities were free for the families.
