AKRON, Ohio — A lot of big events and moments have been canceled due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and event organizers have just now begun to attempt rescheduling.
The American Heart Association is the latest group to announce a rescheduled event, and it's one that the whole family will be able to enjoy. The streamed event will include lessons about heart health, entertainment, auctions, and more.
The 'Heart of Akron' ball will commence on June 5, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. on ZOOM, and pre-registration is required.
“While this year’s event will not happen exactly as originally planned, our team is committed to providing the best donor and guest experience possible,” said Colleen Repie, Development Director for the American Heart Association. “Rest assured, there are some great things planned to make our virtual Akron Heart Ball fun, engaging and one to remember, including entertainment, amazing auction items and a chance to virtually meet our 2020 Heart Child, Mason Dinger!”
Proceeds raised from the ball will be used to benefit heart health research and developments in medicine.
