MONTVILLE, Ohio — Police have shed more light on a SWAT incident that left two people dead over the weekend.
Montville police held a news conference Monday to discuss more details on the incident, which happened early Sunday.
It began when a 17-year-old girl without clothes showed up at the McDonald's on Wooster-Pike Road to ask employees for help as they were closing for the night.
Police say the girl told the employees she had been assaulted at a home about half a mile away in the 4700 block of Stockbridge Drive.
As McDonald's employees drove the girl to a local hospital, they called 911 to report that the man who assaulted her had shot her mother, and that there were other children inside the home.
As officers were responding to the Stockbridge Drive home, a man from inside the home called 911 to report he had just shot his girlfriend in the head.
"I shot her in the head, my girlfriend," the caller said. "...It was a disagreement and got out of control. She's in rough shape, please."

When officers arrived, they found the man, identified as Shawn Guillereault, standing over a woman in the garage. The woman, identified as Rachel Azbell, had a gunshot wound to the head, and was taken to a local hospital, where after a brief time on life support, she died according to the Summit County Coroner.
Medina County Coroner Lisa Deranek said the bullet was lodged in the lower portion of Azbell's brain, meaning she was considered brain dead.
"She will be giving life-saving organs to those who will be matched in need," Deranek said.
Police say the couple had been dating for about seven years.
Despite opening the garage door for officers, Guillereault refused all orders to surrender and ran into the home.
When officers arrived, Guillereault remained on the line with dispatch, and can be heard yelling "Shoot me!" at officers before he retreated inside.
A three-hour standoff followed, and SWAT officers set up a ladder to rescue the other children in the home. Officers were also able to remove Azbell from the garage.
When SWAT made entry to the home, they found Guillereault dead. The coroner ruled that he died from a single, self-inflicted gunshot to the head.
Police say the other children in the home are ages 15 and 12, and were Guillereault's children. They are now in the care of their mother.
