SANDUSKY, Ohio -- The LeBron James Family Foundation hosted more than 8,000 students and their families Tuesday at Cedar Point for their annual “We Are Family Reunion.”
As part of the Foundation’s partnership with Cedar Point, the families and their guests were treated to free park admission and free lunch for the “To the Beach” themed day that serves as many of the families’ only vacation of the year.
The day was capped off with a special presentation of Cedar Point’s “Fire and Ice” nightly spectacular that ended with James addressing the families.
The Family Reunion comes on the heels of the grand opening of the I PROMISE School, an Akron Public School that infuses STEM curriculum with LJFF’s “We Are Family” philosophy. Opening with 240 students in third and fourth grades, the school will fill to a first through eighth grade school by 2022.
