CLEVELAND — Cleveland's music scene is hotter than ever, and with plenty of new additions and longtime staples to choose from, there are no shortage of venues to hear live music.
WKYC's Alexa Lee hit the town to check out a few of Cleveland's coolest spots. Her first stop was Mahall's 20 Lanes in Lakewood.
A popular bowling alley for decades, new owners have transformed the venue into a trendy destination for live music, and of course, old-fashioned bowling. They're also known for cocktails and great food. When you're there, be sure to sample their signature fried chicken.
Next up, Alexa visited Nighttown in Cleveland Heights to take in a jazz show where she was treated to a performance by Grant Green Jr. featuring Donald Harrison & Mike Clark. Nighttown has been a staple in the Cedar-Fairmount District since 1965 and often hosts world-class musicians from all over the world.
Alexa's final stop took her to one of Cleveland's newest venues -- Stella's Music Club on E. 9th street, right across from Progressive Field. Stella's is on a mission to bring rock 'n' roll back to downtown Cleveland, and in addition to offering live shows, they also host open mic nights and live band karaoke on the last Thursday of every month. Alexa was game to get on stage, so now it's your turn to get out there and enjoy the music!
