CANTON, Ohio — Firefighters in Canton pulled a trapped child out of a burning Root Avenue house on Monday morning.
Crews arrived at the scene just before 9:00 a.m. and encountered intense heat and zero visibility. After finding the child, firefighters shared oxygen from a mask then proceeded to pass the child out through a front window.
Paramedics continued the resuscitation process and the child was life-flighted to Akron Children's Hospital.
Canton fire officials say they do not know the child's condition, however one other injury was reported.
