CLEVELAND — Visitors can't get enough of the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo's Asian Lantern Festival.
As a result, the zoo is extending the festival for a second time, meaning the final date is now Aug. 18.
The event was originally scheduled to end in July, but the zoo announced an extra two weeks July 22. Now, demand will keep the festival running for a third extra week.
More than 70,000 visitors have experienced the festival, which debuted last summer. This year's event, which takes place Thursday through Sunday evenings each week, features dozens of new, colorful lanterns and displays.
