BAY VILLAGE, Ohio — Ready… Set… Slide!
A new children’s play space is coming this fall to the Huntington Reservation in Bay Village as Cleveland Metroparks announced the start of construction on Wednesday.
The nearly one-acre area – known as Karen’s Way Place Space – is slated to open this September.
Here are some of the play space highlights as listed by Cleveland Metroparks officials:
- Willow tunnel
- Slide
- Playhouse
- Small stage
- Musical play components
- Two separate swing sets for ages 2-5 and ages 5-12
- Water play feature
- 50-foot-long kid-friendly zipline
The swings and zipline will feature ADA-inclusive seating, according to Cleveland Metroparks.
“Karen’s Way Play Space will connect to the recently updated Noshery concessions building and Sunset Picnic Plaza by a paved accessible path,” according to a press release. “The project is being funded by a generous gift from Karen’s Way Inc.”
Huntington Reservation will remain open throughout the project’s construction.
