PARMA, Ohio — A family who was displaced from Ukraine and arrived in Parma are receiving a special gift Thursday.
The Good Knights of Lorain County are giving the Khamuliak family beds for two children, Karina and Artur, to help ease their transition to living in Northeast Ohio.
Good Knights is non-profit organization that is dedicated to ensuring that local children have beds to sleep in. The organization’s goal is to make sure that every child in Lorain County has a safe and comfortable bed to go to sleep in every night.
Good Knights works with other nonprofit agencies and first responders in order to find the children who need help in creating a better sleeping environment. The organization strives to empower families with children by not only giving beds, but also other essential items to try and help families rise out of poverty and into self-sufficiency.
