CANTON, Ohio — A 1-year-old boy is dead and other injured following a shooting in Canton early Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred on the 1600 block of Clarendon Avenue Southwest around 2:28 a.m. According to police, the twin children were sleeping inside their home when the gunshots rang out. Both were struck, and they were eventually transported to local hospitals.
Ace Lucas died from his injuries, while his brother is expected to recover. No suspects have been named or arrested at this time.
Ace's death was one of three separate homicides that took place in the city overnight: 31-year-old Ronald Pleasant was killed on the 1400 block of Louisiana Court Northwest around 8:25 p.m., while 20-year-old Brandon Bush was shot on the 100 block of Pulley Plaza Southeast around 11:43 before dying at the hospital. Two more were injured, and again, no suspects are in custody.
