CLEVELAND — An 11-year-old girl has been rushed to the hospital after being shot on Cleveland's west side Wednesday night.
According to police, the child was in her home on the 3200 block of West 54th Street when she was struck by at least one bullet. She was taken by ambulance to MetroHealth Medical Center and is currently in serious condition.
Officials describe the incident as a drive-by shooting, and that the suspect vehicle may have been a black Jeep Cherokee. No information regarding who may have fired the shots is known at this time.
