SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio — A 16-year-old boy is in police custody Thursday after bringing a firearm to Cuyahoga Falls High School.
Thursday morning, officials at the school received a tip that a student had a weapon in their possession while on the school property. A school resource officer was notified and was able to located the teen.
The 16-year-old boy, of Silver Lake, was found to have a unloaded gun and a separate magazine containing seven rounds in his possession.
The student was arrested and charged with illegal conveyance or possession of deadly weapons or dangerous ordinance on school premises a felony of the fifth degree as well as carrying a concealed weapon, a Felony of the Fourth Degree.
The student was turned over to Summit County Juvenile Court.
