CANTON, Ohio — Canton police have confirmed they now have two suspects in custody in connection with the death of a 26-year-old woman last week.
Jamal Bullock, 30, was arrested Friday at his house on the 600 block of Wertz Street Southwest and is charged with complicity to murder. He is currently being held at the Stark County Jail, with no court date set at this time.
Bullock and 38-year-old Aja Lindsey are both accused of playing a role in the killing of Tiara Burch, whom police dead inside her 11th Street Northwest apartment while performing a welfare check on the evening of Jan. 19. While local authorities and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal investigation are investigating the case as a homicide, Burch's official cause of death has not yet been determined.
Lindsey was arrested two days after the discovery of Burch's body on identical complicity to murder charges. She is also being held at the Stark County Jail on a $1-million bond after being arraigned in Canton Municipal Court this past Monday.
As neither Lindsey nor Bullock have been officially charged with actually killing Burch, it is possible there are still more suspects at large. Canton police are asking anyone with information to immediately call their detective bureau at (330) 489-3144 or send an anonymous tip through Tip411 or Stark County Crimestoppers.
