The Cleveland Police Department has arrested a man in connection with the fatal assault of a 34-year-old man.
According to reports, police responded to Flex Spas, located in the 2600 block of Hamilton Avenue, around 12 p.m. for reports of a man being assaulted. At the scene, EMS provided care to the victim and transported him to MetroHealth Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The victim was identified as Theolis Rayshawn Butler of Cleveland, by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner.
While on scene, officials interviewed several people and were able to somewhat piece together the incident. According to police, the suspect, a 34-year-old man, and the victim were at a night club together and had possibly been using narcotics. Later the two became involved in a physical altercation.
The suspect was arrested at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
Officials did not provide an officials cause of death or a potential motive for the crime. The incident remains under investigation.
