The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating a shooting that took the life of a 48-year-old man early Sunday morning on the city's east side.
Officers were called to the area of East 20th Street and Krause Ct. just after midnight for reports of a man shot. When police arrived, they found the victim being treated by Cleveland EMS for multiple gunshot wounds.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released.
The Cleveland Division of Police's Homicide Unit responded to the area and determined after a preliminary investigation that the victim was possibly initially shot in the area of East 20th Street and Hamilton Avenue.
The investigation is ongoing. Police have not yet identified a person of interest.
