Akron man arrested after drunken encounter at local Subway

AKRON, Ohio — An Akron man has been arrested on multiple charges after a belligerent experience in a local Subway.

Police were called to the Subway located in the 1000 block of Kenmore Boulevard around 12:45 p.m. on Saturday for an intoxicated man. At the scene, employees pointed out Don Peters, 44, who was said to be visibly intoxicated and acting belligerently.

According to the employees, Peters entered the sub shop and demanded they make his food and began damaging the Plexiglas inside. Peters then walked behind the counter and began making his own sandwich. 

Peters was placed under arrest without further incident. When officers searched Peters, they found a bottle of Vodka and a block of Subway cheese in his pocket.

Peters was charged with disorderly conduct, disorderly conduct intoxicated annoy or alarm, open container and criminal damaging. He was sent to the Summit County Jail.
