CLEVELAND — An Akron man was sentenced to 115 months in prison on Tuesday, May 9 after pleading guilty to multiple drug and gun charges.
According to court documents, 31-year-old Alex R. Andrus was arrested after a search warrant was executed at his Akron home on March 8, 2022. Law enforcement officials found more than 200 pills containing methamphetamine and fentanyl, which were intended to be sold. A loaded pistol was also found during the search which was a violation of a federal law due to a prior felony conviction.
Andrus pleaded guilty to the following charges:
- Possession with intents to distribute fentanyl and methamphetamine
- Being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition
The investigation of this case was conducted by the FBI and Akron Police Department.
