AKRON, Ohio — Akron police detectives are investigating a drive-by shooting that injured a 27-year-old man on Sunday, a news release said.
It happened just before noon at a home in the 1000 block of Hardesty Blvd. Officers responded there after someone reported shots were fired.
That's when, according to the release, the 27-year-old man was found with "multiple" gunshot wounds. The man, who was not identified, was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
Investigators believe a black SUV, with at least two passengers, drove by the home and fired shots at the man while he was in the driveway. Over a dozen shell casings and other evidence were collected from the scene, the release said.
Additional details about the suspects were not immediately released. Stick with 3News for updates on this story as they become available.
