AKRON, Ohio — The Akron Police Department is investigating a reported armed robbery that happened early Tuesday morning at the Park Place Pub.
According to a release, officers were called to the pub on Aster Avenue just before 1 a.m. A bartender told police that an unknown man entered the bar, pulled out a gun and demanded money.
The suspect allegedly forced the bartender to open the register and left with "an undisclosed amount of cash and other items before fleeing eastbound on Palm Street."
Akron police say the incident remains under investigation and detectives are working to get additional information that might lead to the identification of the suspect.
