Friends and family of Alishah Pointer, the 22-year-old who was kidnapped and murdered in East Cleveland earlier this month, gathered Saturday afternoon outside of the burned-out home on Savannah Avenue where Pointer's body was found.

The group remembered the 22-year-old alongside the East Cleveland Police Department, who "worked effortlessly and efficiently to solve" the case.

Additionally, the home, which was red-tagged for demolition last year according to organizers, was torn down during the vigil with the help of local law enforcement.

Pointer first disappeared on November 4 and family reported her missing on November 5. On November 9, East Cleveland police officials were called to the home on Savannah Avenue after receiving a tip that Pointer's body was in the basement. The body was later confirmed to be that of the missing East Cleveland woman.

As of November 20, six people have been arrested in connection to Pointer's murder, while one suspect, Hakeem- Ali Shomo, is still at large. The accused: Anthony Bryant, Nathaniel Poke Jr,, Brittany Smith, Portria Williams, Indya Pauldo and Destiny Henderson, were all arrested and charged with kidnapping and aggravated murder earlier this month.

East Cleveland Police believe that the individuals mentioned above were part of a scheme to kidnap and murder Pointer, who police believe had knowledge of a murder committed in Cleveland earlier this month, connected to a relative of suspect Shomo.

Shomo is still at large at this time and the United States Marshals Service is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to his capture.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Shomo is being asked to call the US Marshals Tipline at 1-866-4-WANTED.  You can also submit a tip online, by clicking here.
