Gregory Moore pleaded guilty to one count of falsification and two felony counts of inducing panic for calling in bomb threats to local courts.
The divorce attorney hired by Aliza Sherman told a judge Monday that he had lied to his client and later investigators in connection to her murder.
Prosecutors dropped a host of other charges in exchange for the plea.
Sherman, a Cleveland Clinic nurse, was attacked on March 24, 2013 outside the 55 Erieview Plaza building as she walked to Moore's office.
She was 53 years old.
Investigators found Moore was not inside at the time despite telling Sherman so minutes before her death.
He also lied to detectives about his whereabouts.
Moore could face up to three years behind bars.
He is scheduled to be sentenced later this month.
