A press conference led by Dr. R.A. Vernon was held Tuesday afternoon at The Word Church in Warrensville Heights to discuss the case. Members of her family were also present.

“The evidence that the police department had earlier, was not the full picture," said attorney Ian Friedman. "As Pastor Vernon said, we’re now going to bring all of that evidence. Once seen, now there should be an investigation. Now the family will get what they deserve. Now Amanda will get what she deserves as the justice in this case.”

Hours after the press conference, 3News received the following update on the case from the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office: "Late yesterday (Monday) we received preliminary reports from the Warrensville Heights Police Department. We are awaiting the arrival of additional evidence. Investigations like these take time to complete. Once we believe the investigation is fully complete, we will make a determination on how to proceed which will likely include a presentation to the grand jury."
