WASHINGTON — D.C. Police are looking for thieves who stole eight American Bulldog puppies.
Officers were called to the 1700 block of U Street, Southeast, after 1 p.m. on Saturday. When they arrived, the victim explained the events leading up to the theft.
She told police that she was getting ready to transport the puppies in her car, which was parked in an alley behind the address listed above. She turned the car on, loaded the puppies inside, and then went back into the house for no more than a couple of minutes. When she came back outside, the car and pups were gone.
The puppies are described as 5-week-old American Bulldogs, all dark in color with white markings.
D.C. Police announced on Sunday that the victim's car had been found, but the puppies were still missing.
