CANTON, Ohio — Police in Canton are investigating after a man was shot and killed early Saturday morning not far from downtown.
Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of 3rd Street Northwest around 2:10 a.m. for a report of shots fired. Once on scene, they found the victim lying unconscious on a porch with a gunshot wound to his leg.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by the Stark County Coroner's Office. he has not yet been identified.
Authorities are still actively searching for possible suspects at this time.
