The suspects then got into the victim’s car, a gray 2018 Subaru Forrester, and drove off on Hillbrook Road, heading west.
Police were able to initially track the car to the 14000 block of Cedar Road due to one of the victims leaving their phone in the car. Upon arrival at this address, however, police found the phone in the street. The phone has been collected as evidence.
The two male suspects are described as roughly 16-18 years old; one Black, 5’10”, the other possibly Latino and 5’6”.
The victims told police that both males were wearing black long-sleeved sweatshirts, black pants, and black face masks and were wearing either black hats or hoods as well. The two men also each had a small firearm.
Police believe that the suspects may have been inside of a gray or tan sedan previously to the incident and the victims told officials that they remember seeing the car park at the end of their driveway.
The University Heights Police Department says that it will be monitoring public parking areas in the future in hopes of locating the suspects, as well as preventing future incidents.
