CLEVELAND — A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot by an unknown shooter at a gas station on Cleveland's west side Wednesday in an incident that remains under police investigation.
At 4:28 p.m., Cleveland Division of Police officers responded to a report of a shooting at 3101 Scranton Road and transported the victim, who police say suffered gunshot wounds to the body, to MetroHealth where he was pronounced dead.
The teen shooting victim has been identified as Arthur McKeller of Cleveland Heights.
No persons of interest have been identified in relation to the shooting.
According to a preliminary investigation by CDP homicide detectives, the victim and a friend were sitting at the gas station and were shot at by an unknown person. Both fled the area, and the victim collapsed from his injuries in front of a townhouse in the 1700 block of Clark Avenue.
