NEW YORK — A former Cleveland Dance instructor accused of sexual assault was arrested in New York Monday.
Terrence Greene, 54, was arrested by US Marshals at a home in the 40 block of Clintwood Court in Brighton, New York. Greene was charged with sexual assault on July 21. The charges stem from abuse alleged in September 2008.
The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force began working with Cleveland Division of police sex crimes detectives in an effort to locate Greene after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
“I applaud the quick work of the team in Rochester, they knew how important it was to get this predator off the streets. Both the city streets in Cleveland and Rochester are now safer with this arrest," said U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott.
Greene was arrested without incident and will remain in New York Police custody until he is extradited back to Cleveland.
Anyone with information on additional crimes committed by Greene is asked to contact the Cleveland Division of Police, sex crimes unit at 216-623-5630.
