U.S. Marshals arrest man suspected for Toledo murder in Garfield Heights

Tuesday afternoon, members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested 26-year-old Titus Crittendon. He is wanted for aggravated murder.

CLEVELAND — Members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) have arrested a man wanted by the Toledo Police Department for aggravated murder.

Tuesday afternoon, members of the task force arrested 26-year-old Titus Crittendon at a residence near the 9700 block of Plymouth Avenue in Garfield Heights. 

According to the law enforcement, the incident took place on December 18, 2021. Toledo police officers responded to a call of someone being shot in a residence near the 1200 block of Broadway Street in Toledo.

The officers found 24-year-old Everett White dead inside of a vehicle as a result of gunshot wounds. Video evidence discovered from the incident showed Crittendon walking away from the victim's car.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “This arrest is another example of our strong law enforcement partnerships across the northern district of Ohio. Outstanding police work from Toledo all the way to Cleveland, resulted in another dangerous fugitive being taken off the street.”
