A Cleveland man was charged in federal court Monday after prosecutors say he shot at federal agents last week.
Reuben Rankin, 34, is charged with assault on a federal officer with a deadly weapon, being a felon in possession of a firearm and use of a firearm in relation to a violent crime.
The incident happened Oct. 30 as homeland security officers attempted to execute a search warrant on a house on Dove Avenue in Cleveland. Rankin allegedly fired six shots at agents from a car before he was arrested.
Rankin has previous convictions of intimidation, domestic violence, burglary, aggravated assault and abduction, according to the Department of Justice.
