Cleveland Police investigating discovery of body in field on city's east side

Police have not yet released any information on a potential suspect or motive. No arrests have been made at this time.

The Cleveland Police Department is investigating the discovery of a body in the early morning hours of March 29. 

According to reports, officials responded to the 10000 block of Adams Avenue for a body in a field. At the scene, the victim's body was located with a handgun nearby.

The victim was transported to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The man's identity has not yet been released. 

Homicide detectives arrived at the scene and learned that the body had been reported by a citizen after hearing a loud bang. Upon hearing the noise, the citizen looked outside and saw the body in the field and called 911. 

Police have not yet released any information on a potential suspect or motive. No arrests have been made at this time.
